Its Rehearsal Time

Once a week, every Tuesday the Manic team meet for a class to rehearse routines. It is important for  every member of the team to train regularly and practice to perfect their individual dance technique.

Last night the Manic team started piecing together a 30 minute medley for a live performance in February. We can’t say just yet what the show is but we can say it’s a complete honour to be invited to showcase Manic Stage Productions at this exciting event!

5 members of the team will take to the stage and perform 10 song and dance routines with 5 costume changes – all mixed together in a fantastic musical medley.

Here is a few pictures to give you a sneak peak.

Keep your eyes open for some more exciting updates coming soon!

Manic need you!

Calling all local professional & Semi professional dancers!
Do you want to perform locally and along the South Coast with a fun, friendly, hard working team of other local talent?

Manic Stage Productions is a full service entertainment company specialising in performing show stopping choreography glittered with gorgeous costumes and featuring local, professional performers. Their ethos is to offer opportunities to Portsmouth based self employed, trained and working dancers and singers outside of London, right here in their home town. This insures that top quality, highly trained individuals, like yourself can share their talents with the people of Portsmouth. We encourage each performer to embark on other opportunities on stage and screen across the globe, with the knowledge that when they return home, Manic Stage Productions will endeavour to have work for them.

Manic Stage Productions has surpassed our expectations and has certainly grown in size. In order for us to fully grow and develop we need to find more enthusiastic, committed, hard working individuals who would like to learn and rehearse with our pro show team and eventually take to the stage with Manic Stage Productions.

Manic Stage Productions was founded in 2005 by Nicole Louise Geddes & Matt Newman. Having both trained and worked together as professional dancers within the exciting entertainment industry.  It was their joint love of the performing arts that compelled them to start up a company that would provide Portsmouth and its community with the same high class entertainment and levels of teaching as they had both been so lucky to have experienced over the years. They both work hard to promote the companies services and have big plans for 2013.

We need you! Do you enjoy a new challenge? Thrive working as part of a talented, dedicated team? Prepared to meet weekly to perfect your individual skill and rehearse group performances? Then get in touch by February 1st with your CV, headshot and biog.

Manic Mondays - A Glamourous Las Vegas Weekend

This weekend the Manic team preformed at Restaurant 69 (on Palmerstone Road, Southsea) This spectacular Viva Las Vegas night was in celebration of the Birthday boy – Ansel (who appeared on come dine with me) and his 70th Birthday.

Manic kicked off the evening with the fantastic male singer Jamie Riley opening with a laid back 45 minute set of classics from the Rat Pack era whilst guests arrived and sipped champagne. Then livening the evening up our three showgirls stepped out on stage wearing beautiful sparkly, glitzy showgirl costumes with luxury white feathers. Dancing to a selection of Vegas themed songs – Viva Las Vegas, Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend, On a Night Like This, Burlesque and Copa Cobana, the showgirls gave the evening extra glamour and certainly enhanced the Viva Las Vegas themed evening. Accompanied by the wonderful female singer Nicola Lashley, who had the birthday boy on his feet dancing whilst she belted out the Kylie Classics. Giving Ansel an evening he would never forget!

With costume changes and a whole lot of high kicks the Manic team had the whole crowd transported to Las Vegas with our glamorous showgirl entertainment. A male guest said the evening was “wonderful and very tastefully done” and the restaurant proprietor Jayne Elliot sang our praises saying, “As always you guys were brilliant, I love using you (Manic) as you’re so different (compared to the other entertainment teams).”

The event ended with another set from Jamie stepping up the tempo a notch with his swing sensation, which had all the party goers singing along, dancing and having a night to remember.
